This AOG 20" x 14" vertical storage door is constructed from commercial-grade stainless steel, has a black slam-latch handle, and comes with louvers for ventilation.
Do the door louvers provide all the ventilation a propane enclosure needs?
No. AOG requires the complete enclosure to be properly vented. Follow the ventilation and cylinder-location requirements in the grill owner's manual and all applicable local codes.
Is special mounting hardware available for thicker island walls?
Yes. AOG offers the BK-1 bracket hardware kit for island walls from 1 1/2" to 2 1/4" thick and for AOG GFRC island enclosures. The brackets help secure the accessory inside the opening.
Does this stainless steel door need extra care near a swimming pool or the coast?
Yes. Salt, chlorine, and other corrosive materials can cause surface rust and pitting. AOG recommends more frequent cleaning in these areas and says stainless steel exposed to these conditions should be cleaned at least monthly.
Prepare the island opening using the dimensions listed in the specifications table. AOG recommends applying silicone caulking, not included, around the back of the door trim before sliding the frame into the opening.
The frame should sit flush against the outside wall of the island and be secured using the proper installation hardware. AOG states that this unit should be installed by a qualified professional service technician.
